Friends make life better

Plans to finish all content have been made! I have contacted my actors and they have been super nice about working around their schedule so that we can record the rest and I love them for it! Next week after school on Tuesday I will be recording Noelle's voice over and Nic's voice overs! Also we were thinking that it would be super cool to make a mock movie poster. We may do a photo shoot for the poster? The whole crew is super ecstatic to see the final product so I'm trying to work hard to make this video work!
Have I mentioned how much I love and appreciate my friends? Cause they help me out through all these problems I have with not only this video but also others and we can always make amazing videos together. Speaking of which, I have been really pumped this week since I have been competing in STN! This convention is hectic, thrilling and nerve-wrecking every year, no matter how many years I come here (this is currently my 3rd). It has been such an adventure and I am having so much fun with my friends working (and playing) hard. I turned in my competition video today with my partner Julian Bonilla (one of the most amazing best friend I could ask for) and honestly I have major hopes for this and think we have a chance to place. If your interested to watch the video (first wish us luck, cause we have to wait till Sunday for the results) here you go! This whole competition is inspiring though and can't wait to make this video even better with the new techniques I am learning!

Time managment isn't easy

I know we just had day light savings, but even before that it felt that their was not enough time left in the day. Currently I'm in Nashville, TN to compete with student television network (STN) and it has been amazing so far. The only problem with this ... I have barely any time to get work done! I am still missing audio recordings of the voice overs, which I am trying to schedule with my actors now but from this point on I'm going to be in and out of Weston every week.
The footage has been processed and I have started basic editing for time sequence and minor corrections of footage (because some shots were later at night than others showing difference in time of day) to make it look more accurate to the actual timing of this event and not look visually terrible.
I got  a lot to figure out but I think I can work through this on time with it still being good.

Filming complete

Hello again haha, I wanted to try my hand at vloging when I was there. You can tell that didn't turn out that great just because we were so busy that I wouldn't be able to stop that much to record updates on what we were doing and I am not much of an on camera person (that video alone took me like 5 tries) but hey I tried my best. We were super excited to get started! My team and I went up to Wynood with my dad getting there at around 4 pm Saturday (because of traffic and such). The first thing we do is have Dean start setting up the equipment while I go to talk to the owners of Jacky's Cafe.
As you heard from the vlog, that didn't turn out good. Jacky's cafe usually closes at 5 pm (at least that's what their hours online and on their door say) but I guess the day we came, they decided they wanted to close early, because they weren't there. As I try to figure out what to do after I let my team know what I had just figured out, my dad recommended a sea food restaurant right down the street. I felt bad going in ask last minute but the restaurant owner was extremely nice and let us film what ever we needed as long as we didn't mess with any costumers (which we never intended to do).
Filming for about 2 hours, it was starting to get dark and we were also worried cause it looked like it was about to rain. We got our last remaining shots as fast as we could and headed back to my dads car in the nick of time because it started pouring when we were driving home. On the way home we were discussing the footage and had realized we hand forgotten a shot. I believe since we got a lot of extra shots just in case it will be fine. After 3 hours of filming Dean and I got some beautiful shots and everyone seemed to have an incredible time last night so I was super happy. We were even talking about maybe expanding this into a short film in the summer (you never know). It took all day to process the footage but I've been looking over it and we really did fantastic even with the bumps in the road.
